SAILS Student Staff Conference on Induction and Transition
January 29, 2019 @ 10:15 am - 3:00 pm
Do you organise and/or deliver College induction activities?
Are you interested in improving student transition into and through university?
Would you like to develop new ways of engaging with students to help them settle into university life?
Join SAILS and student reps to reflect on student induction and transition practices and discover what works:
- Find out about the latest research – Hear from Professor Simon Bott, College of Science, and academic lead for the SAILS induction and transition work stream
- Listen to student views – The Students’ Union Education Officer, Chloe Hutchinson, will talk about the importance of effective student induction and transition. Student reps will share their experiences: What works, what do students need?
- Plan your next year’s induction/transition – Work with colleagues from across the University, share good practice, reflect and consider changes to future induction and transition activities
A light lunch will be provided and will include vegetarian options. If you have other dietary requirements, any allergies or access requirements, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
